2007 August Central Pennsylvania Make-N-Take - Coffins
If you missed the August Make-N-Take, you missed this:
What did we make?
Coffins. We all need them eventually, but us haunters tend to need more than
one and need them much earlier in life than most.
How did we make them?
One set of plans we used took a single 4'x8' sheet of plywood and turned
it
into a coffin. I attempted a different approach using old 1"x3"x3'
timbers I had lying around in the effort to create a coffin that would function as a fog-chiller.
Attendees:
Michael Bruner, organizer of Eastern Haunters Convention
Joel Rybacki of Boiling Ponds Cemetery (me)
What did we accomplish?
Despite some seriously oppressive heat and humidity (gotta get the garage cleaned out...), Mike was able to complete
an entire coffin in about a 4 hour period. I was able to complete about 75%
of my fog-chiller coffin in about an 8 hour period. Unfortunatly, I did not
take any pictures of Mike's coffin or of us working. The final results of
my fog-chiller coffin can be found
here.
A picture of the end-result of my two fog-chiller coffins (the one on the left was
worked on at the event):
